Other people can't drive for SHIT. There's this semi-tunnel we have in Hartford on the highway, inside it's pretty dark, particularly when you go into it in the middle of the day - your eyes cant see shit. There are solid lines on the road inside there, yet people still change lanes, even 2 at a time. Some old bitch in a Jaguar cut me off in there today, I gave her my thoughts with some high beams in her mirror and an toot toot audio salute. One example amongst many...

Drivers in my area are terrible. Some NJ drivers are bad enough and then you get the ones from NY State that don't know where they're going.............. Makes me insane lol.

New Jersey drivers are the worst.

Now add those together with drivers from NY and welcome to my world. lol Although you probably get your share of them in CT as well.

Tailgating me on the highway, yes plenty of experience with folks from NJ.

The NY drivers will turn without signals, cruse slowy in the passing lane, don't know what our traffic signs mean for some reason. Most NJ drivers can't figure out what the turn signal is used for either, like to merge over into my car (almost got sandwiched on the highway yesterday), and then you get those individuals who drive at night with just their parking lights on for some reason? Are they trying to be sneaky and steathly? What's the deal with that?

Yes, and I trust the drivers around me.

Yes, I am a great driver. Yes, I trust others around me. I trust them to do stupid things every time they see my marked unit. I trust others will always make me divert more than drive. And mostly, I trust that I am much safer running 130mph on the interstate with my lights and siren off... those things are shit magnets.

You know people always do the stupid stuff in front of me. I always ask, "where are the police when you need them?" Then I think if I were an officer of the law I would make jurisdictions rich with ticket money and pull many bad drivers off the road lol.

I will admit I am a terrible driver, but last night on my way to work I was behind a guy that was going 75 on the side roads, running stop signs, redlights, got on the interstate going over 90, couldnt stay in a lane, I ended up calling the police, was really afraid he would hurt someone....

but anyway, yeah I am a horrible driver, I have hit malboxes, posts at drive throughs, and the worst was when I fell asleep on the way home from work and hit 3 road signs... I now take naps on the way home if I get tired, sux I had to learn the hard way.

i hear ya. the other day i was in a 35, and getting tailgaitted hardcore. so about 300ft or so from the upcoming stoplight, i do a nice little tap of the breaks...nothing to slow down about, just to scare the people behind me. and oh, man, did it work! they slammed on their brakes so hard they left skid marks. but then they went road rage on me. it was a bit scary pissing off a carload of mexicans :) (sorry tony, didnt mean to piss off your family)

If someone tailgates me I don't bother with the brakes. I just let off the gas and slow down gradually. Next thing you know, they notice they're about to hit you and crap themselves.

CA drivers are by far the worst I've ever seen... I think all you need is a name to get a license here

In NY its OK drivers who are just assholes... In NJ it's all the shitty drivers from NY who moved to NJ

NC by far has the worst traffic situations because of bad driving of anywhere I've been on the east coast.

I haven't seen a 65MPH speed limit for a long time. Here in this location, if you see Idaho plates, you know you are in for a few surprises besides the normal 20 under in the fast lane on the freeway.

so true silent ..most drivers in so cal dont have insurance so its dangerous to drive at certain times of the day and in certain parts of l.a. county...i personally think i have the worst road rage...its get so bad that i sometimes wish i could ram the other cars off the road...ive come up with the idea of a zap it in your car..its a electronic device that you press when ever the person in front of you fucks up..and it sends a shock to there body causing them to pull over...also im thinking about patenting a punch glove on a coil in the steering wheel ..when ever someone does something wrong it shoots out and punches them in the face..or the God wand ..you just wave your hand with a specialized glove and the car flies to the side of the road, paralyzed.

lately its been subdued due to the fact i have my girl drive for me ..its a lot easier looking out the window than concentrating on the terrible driving skills of californians

Phoenix drivers are like LA drivers except Phoenix drivers drive a hell of alot faster. I hate driving around in this town, after getting rear-ended while sitting at a red light by some drunk asshole driving 60 while i was at a full stop for a good 2 mins, i lost all faith in Phoenix drivers.

Im a good driver for the most part, unless im driving to California, i let loose there ;)

My malibu governor kicks on at 107 and my Grand Cherokee kicks in at 116...

But I've also been to 3 DSS tactical driving classes...havent caused an offensive accident since High School though...

But from all over the country , LA and DC are the most dangerous, NY areas being the just the worst in general. But LA and DC you have people believing they are running the world and they must get to work and be important....drop 1/8 dusting of snow in DC and they area is under federal emergency...drop 2 ft in Buffalo and your ass better be in on time...

It's all relative...DC and LA make the worst along with NY because everyones driving styles from their home areas merge....NY is less because it has the more established subway system people use....but all 3 areas have the largest influx of non native locals working the economies...

You sound just like me.......I would get bad road rage driving home from work and would wish I had something like a tank so I could just mow them down and flatten the ones that bugged me most.

Have any of you seen that little gizmo you could mount on your dash. When someone bugged you you could hit a button and it make machine gun sounds or other "hitting them with something explosive" sounds would happen.

Oh and here in BC we cringe in the summer when we see those Alberta drivers on the road.

CA drivers are by far the worst I've ever seen...

Turn signals optional out there....

I just got back from vacation. Drove from Memphis, TN to Norfolk, VA.. Now I've lived in VA, CA, MS and IN all close or in major cities... I feel that CA drivers are the worst. Being I drive where ever I go I think that they(other drivers) all suck. Every town, city, state has it's own view of who has the worse drivers.. I still think CA drivers are the worst. Lord help the drivers in San Diego when it sprinkles. Every corner has an accident.

Am I a good driver... I like to think so but someone may not agree. I have never hit anyone but I have been rear ended about 5 times in the past 2 years... Something about my burban people don't like... :ugh: :blahsad:

Come to Oregon...great driving over here. Now the worst driving i've encountered was in St. Louis/Atlanta. BTW glacked do you get the M430's? or the AMG 55's for your unmarked.

We've had 400 series and some 500's. We actuallyl had the only turbo desal M-Class on the planet till one of our guys drove it into the lake during a pursuit.

Right now, we don't have any. Be a fwe months till we get some more.

lol must be nice living next to the M class plant :) Now is it a stock 400 or do they modify it a little bit? I know those come with a pretty good powerplant but not sure if the suspension is up to par with what you guys would need.

I live in Massachusetts, home of the greatest of driving techniques, the Mass Pull Out, as well as driving in the breakdown lane, not signaling (it's a sign of weakness) and a number of other factors that lead to me taking my life in my hands whenever I drive anywhere. The most dangerous thing about driving in Massachusetts is the whole philosophy behind it. No one lets anyone pass them for any reason, and if there's ever any question as to which car should be able to go first, all cars involved will say to themselves "I'm fucking going" and then attempt to. All in all, it's pretty chaotic.

Atlanta has st louis beat by far. In st louis we just drive fast (the slow lane is for people only going 10 over), atlanta is fast + retarded.

Tony, they are stock. We participate in the "high mileage test program" and basically run them 24/7, 365. We hot seat them on shift - we have take home cars, so someone on shift has to come in, tranfer all the gear into it, and drive it for 12hrs. We take them on the long extradition trips - Cali, Seatle, etc. On Deputy had the black unmarked turbo diesal at a fuel pump in LA. He had the diesal nozzle in it and some guy ran up and pulled it out. Deputy was like WTF and the guy said something like, "I just saved your ass, buddy." Deputy said, "No man, it's a diesal." And the argument ensued. The guy was the president of the local M-Class appreciaton society - some people need a real hobby. Deputy wound up getting his picture taken with the guy and the vehicle and let the guy drive it around the block - hadn't picked up the inmate...

I had the V-8 model up to about 140mph one night running to a call. We were all sitting at Arby's eating at about 0300hrs when a hot call came in. I lead out - I drive faster - and we were all running code - lights/sirens. On the city band, I hear, "The SO is chasing a silver SUV, I'll be assisting." He didn't see my lights. Got up on the interstate and dirted everyone. Hit the 140 mark and started this mile long very shallow curve - had to artfully slow it down when I felt the right tires giving and coming off the pavement... They're great in the straights, but you can forget good dynamic driving in the curves - I'm talking high speed. Below 60 or so, it'll hang in the curves with just about anything.

Best offroad story was my Sgt chasing a guy across a contruction site out in the woods... BG was on a dirt mover, Sgt driving with a corporal hanging out the widnow with his M4... aikjwhf;kashbf;kshbf;uksf;kugwaef

i was thinking about my driving skills in traffic earlier today and this post somehow poped in my head....so i got to thinking that..it would be awesome if what ever car your in could morph into a police car and pull people over at will..man what a power trip that would be for a norm civilian...especially when people do the wrong thing and piss ya off
