Also in an attempt to avoid gen. disc. clutter, Ive posted this here
In all the "about so and so " threads Ive seen a few questions regarding how people got their call signs. So, like I did on the aoi forum, I'll ask you all to explain how you got yours :)

When I was born, my father owned a night club in NY called Maggie's. Now, everyone in the family had their favorite name picked out (anyone here with a kid knows how that goes  ) Coming from an extremely Irish family, the Sean and Daniel requests were too many to count. So my dad decided to give me the most American name he could think of, a name that he saw every night, a name that helped him get rich

Jack Daniel

so there it is, from '99 thru today Ive always been JackDanieL (or JD :) )

When I first came online to Mplayer I saw that everyone had callsigns. I had been collecting some #1 comic books and putting them away. One I collected the first few of was called Evangeline so that is the name I used for a couple of days........til my husband informed me that Evangeline was a porn star or stripper or something. So my next choice was Axa and I used that name for a few months.

When my buddies joined RoD they changed their names from what they were using (fritolaygirl went to RoD Looney and TunaDaddy went to RoD Eclipse) to new RoD names so I thought that was expected. When I got into Rod I made a list of the names I thought I might like and for no good reason became RoD Wrath. I've been Wrath ever since although for some things like my hotmail and BBC Celebdaq I combine the Axa and Wrath and become Axazwrath.

my story is sorta lame but it involves Deek so..
So i used to run around with the handle Atman, which is a buddhist word that means essence or soul. I joined this server one night called JE Recruiting, Ares, Loki, and Icon were within, and it happened that this was the first RS server i ever joined where the clan had a sense of humor and was fun to play with. Eventually i asked to join and Derek said (or ares i cant remeber) your name sux pick something that goes with the trend of the clan (god names) so i searched for an obsecure godly name and found jontar. Which is a norse god/force of choas that battled thor for dominion over the norse people. It did some google searches years later and found it was also a comic book character. i still prefer to go by my real name but no one ever uses it anymore.

My favorite soap opera, formally known as WWF, now WWE had a kick ass couple throughout a few years by the name of the New Age Outlaws (O you didn't know...?)...and when I began real online gaming in 98, I picked Road Dogg (aka Jesse James), which actually it was Road_Doggy_2000 (my first mlagger name) after my first hotmail account name, and after I joined TFS it was PVT-Road_Dogg-TFS but after a while and a recomendation from Xtreme, it just became Dogg (LT-Dogg-TFS that is...lol)...

Before then in my ipx based games like Rise of the Triad and such, it was just Lunitic Killer or Mass Mayhem or dumb names like that...

My first name on mplayer was "bloodhunter4u" ... elite huh?

then I went by the handle "Eminance"
then we started JE and all had "4 letter names" because it looked really kewl.. Loki was mine.. because i had recently seen Dogma or something... then that Starlance-Loki guy showed up (yes he really did show up on mplayer much later after I did) and people kept paging me for starlance admin crap...so i changed it to something i figured couldn't be mistaken with anyone elses...

JE-Viciious Ho with my real life best friend (JE-Icon) changing his name to JE-Sexual Chocolate.... we had fun

then I came back to gsa years later, and went by Vicious Ho, but it didn't have the same humor.. so i switched to another name

When i was the leader of JE i picked the names for about 10 of the new members-
Icon, Geno, Fusion, and Odin to name a few, then my favorite.. Method. (given to CRT-Boomer when he joined JE) well... Boomer never used the name after JE, so I took it back... and now everyone on there called me "meth" for short, so it just evolved into that.

in about 1997 i got into pc gaming, quake, warcraft, q2, wc2, halflife etc. my two roommates and i had a nice little network in our apt. and we'd play games all day long and most of the night too. several of our other friends started joining us on the weekend until we got too big to hold them all in our house. we started a LAN gaming club called "Syndicate Gaming Alliance" (fyi, i twisted it a bit into International Gaming Syndicate" which i entered into a contest to name a new gaming league a couple years ago.)

we were really into Quake 2 and i had downloaded a Men In Black skin which i used with the name "Bigwillystyle" one day at an SGA LAN party i had both my computers set up, and a friend was on my "Bigwillystyle" name, when we would play Q2 all the SGA guys would joke that i was a "wildwilly" because of my wreckless style of play. so i figured i'd use "Wildwilly" as my name. everyone liked it and so it stuck.

my first mplayer name then was SGA_Wildwilly.

i've only had a couple names, and they were very brief times of transition between clans. MoS_Ambient, ND/BDP_W2, and LA_OpusX
