Arrest in Berg Murder

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi police have arrested four people in the killing of American Nicholas Berg, an Iraqi security official said Friday.

The suspects were former members of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s Fedayeen paramilitary organization, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. They were arrested a week ago.


Berg's body was found in Baghdad on May 8. He had been decapitated. He was last seen on April 10 when he left his Baghdad hotel.

I just hope they get the right people. Everything seems so murky over there it's hard to tell who's who.

I can hardly imagine the kind of suffering he went through, but it does make you think why he hardly struggled when they were on him. Obviously there could have been a number of reasons, the most logical probably being that he may have been weak or that the men were exerting strenuous amounts of pressure on each of his limbs. But there's always the possibility of these conspiracies we keep hearing about, which could potentially explain both the time and the struggling discrepancies..

He may not have known what was coming. They may have held him down at previous times and he may have thought that was what was gonna happen again. Just being bullied. We will probably never know.
